For the HTC-Highroad branding, Highroad wanted to take a different approach, a more classic look focused around rider pride and fan connection. They wanted to develop a brand that fans would wear proudly, they wanted to connect the classic almost 'retro' ideal with the modern high-tech partners with which the team enjoys so much success.
We developed this idea of high-tech-retro by tying together simple elements, like the racing stripe - so synonymous with 'retro' designs of the past, with modern visual queues, like the bold yellow and green and the 'web 2.0' shading used throughout the design. These elements were then carried through all of the other pieces of the team's equipment to realize a cohesive and powerful brand that, although simpler than previous editions, is still bold.
