Just finished up a jersey design for Right To Play. The design will be used for their Brussels to London ride this summer from July 4th to the 7th. More information about the ride here
Was happy to be involved with such a great organization and a great cause.
More about Right To Play (from their [...]

We just finished designing some banner ads for an auction that Team HTC-Columbia and Garmin-Tansitions are having to raise money for the USA Cycling National Development Teams. They’re auctioning off a seat in their team cars for the spring classics at Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix. Pretty cool. Look for the banners on the major [...]

The new SGD.cc is now live! We’ve totally rebuilt our website from the ground up. Still running off of the WordPress publishing platform, we’ve redesigned the layout and features and added in many new projects – nearly 40. Check it out and let us know what you think.
5 February 2010
We’re just about ready to launch the new SGD website. We’re in the final stages of editing and tweaking to ensure that when we flip the switch we’re as close to 100% as possible.

We’ve been working hard to get the new site up and running. Almost all of the framework and templating is done and tested and we’re working on formatting and integrating all of the content to fill out the site. With over 40 projects (most new) it should be a very comprehensive look at the work [...]

Just doing a little website building and testing today. Working on the new SGD.cc

Wordpress finally fixed their iPhone app. Cool.

It’s been a long and busy summer and I’ve neglected updating the site. We have many new changes planned and will be implementing them over the next month or so – squeezing it in between client work and life…
Part I: May-June
May and June were very busy. Mostly dedicated to a total rebranding of Team Columbia [...]

There’s been a strong cycling theme in a good number of the projects we’ve been working on lately. Here are just the bigger ones that we’ve recently completed.
In addition, there are several new projects in the works. The Inland Inferno Tri Club will be getting a new logo refresh and a new website in the [...]

We recently finished this ad for Digital Light & Color’s new release of Picture Window Pro – their flagship photo editing software. We’ve been working with Digital Light & Color for years, creating their packaging, advertisements and website. Their ads frequently appear in photography publications such as PC Photo, Shutterbug, InDesign, Outdoor Photographer and others. [...]

It’s been a while since I’ve made a post here and I wanted to recap on all of the things we’ve been up to around here at Sheehan Graphic Design… it’s been quite a busy late winter/early spring.
Team Columbia – Highroad
Our work with Columbia-Highroad didn’t stop when I left Mallorca from the team camp. In [...]

High Road presented the team today in Cala Serena, Mallorca. I’ve been fortunate enough to be here for the event and to get a firsthand look at the hours and hours myself and High Road have put into this new look. I must say, I wasn’t sure what the reception would be or how the [...]

After traveling ~20 hours, I arrived last night in Cala Serena, Mallorca, Spain for the Team Columia – High Road training camp. I’m very excited to be here and can’t wait to see how all of the designs we put together for the team racing kits, vehicles, etc. came out. I still have not seen [...]

It’s been quite a while since I last posted here and I figured I’d take a minute to check in….
Things have been very busy between lots of work with Fischer, Highroad Sports a new Realty Company and a few others. Fischer has been heating up lately as they’re gearing up for the season with some [...]

It’s been very busy around here and in light of the current state of the…ah…world, I feel fortunate for my long days. On the up side, I’d like to think there’s a light at the end of the tunnel now that we have a new administration ready to take office. We’ve been a part of [...]

I picked up and started reading “The Laws of SIMPLICITY” by John Maeda the other day. He’s the new (as of June) President of the Rhode Island School of Design. While I haven’t read much more than the first ‘chapter’, I’m finding it significant to how I approach my work. More about the book soon.
9 October 2008
I’ve been doing a lot of work with Fischer lately. It’s that time of year where they make a big push as the season fast approaches and many people are in the market for new equipment. We’ve spread magazine ads, a consumer catalog, inserts and posters throughout the country as part of their branding and [...]

We are planning on producing a Sheehan Graphic Design Cycling Kit. The clothing is top of the line and produced by Capoforma. We will be offering the clothing as pre-order items at our cost as incentive to order early and so that we can meet the minimum quantities required to do a custom order.
Check out [...]

Another ad for Fischer Skis. This one is going in a publication in the Far West. The skier is Fischer/Craft athlete, Colin Rodgers – a New England native and Middlebury grad. The product is the RCS Carbonlite – Fischer’s top of the line race ski, boot and pole system. They’re fast, trust me.

I was trying to create a new database and accompanying site for a side project on my server. I mistakenly deleted the database that powers Sheehan Graphic Design’s news section – partly because I wasn’t paying full attention and partly because the “control panel” provided by the hosting company is a total piece of crap.
24 September 2008
I’ve added a light yellow background to the right ’sidebar’ of the site. The idea was to separate it from the main body of the page and to highlight this area for ease of use and navigation. I’d be interested in hearing your comments on the change….
Let me know what you think!

There’s a lot going on here….
I’m working on a couple of new ads for Fischer Skis – RCS Carbonlite ads that will be going in regional publications this Fall/early winter. I’ll post them here when they are done.
Also, I’ve added a new background to the website. I wanted to better show the semi-transparent nature of [...]

The new site is complete. All of the sections have been developed and it looks sharp and is informative, without being overwhelming. I’ve received some great feedback from a handful of beta users, confirming that the site is ready… thank you all.
I’ll be making some periodic updates from here on out, some of which are [...]

I recently finished a season recap of sorts for MetLife Cycling. The idea behind this 13-page piece is to thank the team sponsors, recap the season and lead into the 2009 season with preliminary information.
The challenge of a piece like this is keeping it brief. The team has a 7-month season that needs to be [...]

Here’s a Sheehan Graphic Design wallpaper… from my iPhone to yours. I’ll be creating more of these as the mood arises. You can download the image here.
Enjoy.

Just finished a new ad for Fischer Ski. This is a quarter page that will go in NENSA’s (New England Nordic Ski Association) publication… keep an eye out for it.

Trek makes a decent bike for cyclocross. They are more known for their road and mountain bikes, as are most companies in the industry. Cyclocross is not a huge market and although it has a passionte and growing following, it’s hard to believe that it will ever reach the level as other forms of cycling [...]
